The experimental team and research team from USF, Ananya Naik included, teamed up with Humane Borders, the Tucson nonprofit dropping water stations across the Sonoran Desert right by the U.S.-Mexico line to keep migrants alive out there.
The experimental team prototyped resilient station forms tested for extreme conditions, while the research team analyzed migrant paths, environmental data, and volunteer logistics to address three performance challenges: durability, legibility, and maintainability: yielding humane architecture that protects lives with quiet dignity.
